The estate

On the heights of Saint-Mathieu de Tréviers, facing the majestic Pic Saint-Loup and lulled by Mediterranean influences, the Ermitage du Pic Saint-Loup - which became the Heritage of Pic Saint-Loup from the 2021 vintage - embodies one of the most emblematic estates of Languedoc. At the helm, the Ravaille brothers, Jean-Marc, Pierre and Xavier, infuse their vineyard with a unique vision, based on respect for the terroir and the pursuit of excellence.

The estate has built a solid reputation thanks to cuvées with a strong style, reflecting the authenticity and diversity of their environment. Committed to a biodynamic approach, the Ravaille brothers ban pesticides and favor gentle practices, with meticulous work on the soils.

The vineyard

The vineyard of this Languedoc estate rests on a real geological mosaic: hard and soft limestones, dolomites, conglomerates, marls and river-origin scree. This diversity, combined with a unique climate - sufficient winter rainfall, dry summer, large temperature differences between day and night - promotes slow and complete ripening of the grapes. This climatic uniqueness of Pic Saint-Loup, constant from one vintage to another, forges wines of great precision.

The wine

The cuvée Sainte Agnès is a red wine from the Languedoc - Pic Saint Loup appellation, made from vines located mid-slope, on clay-limestone soils mixing white clay and hard limestone. It stands out for its roundness, freshness and harmony, reflecting a demanding and generous terroir.

Vinification and aging

This wine benefits from aging in foudres, preserving the purity of the fruit while providing a beautiful structure and depth.

Blend

This St. Agnès 2021 cuvée from Héritage du Pic Saint-Loup is the result of a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre.
