The freshness and elegance of a white Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune

    The estate

Although the family has been established in Corpeau since the 19th century, the wine estate was officially founded in 1920. Located in the heart of Burgundy, this family-run property is now headed by Jean-Charles Fagot, the fifth generation, who began producing his own cuvées in 1989. As a winegrower, négociant-éleveur and restaurateur, he offers a distinctive approach where wine and gastronomy meet. The estate stands out for its commitment to artisanal traditions and its deep roots in the local terroir.

    The vineyard

The grapes for this white Burgundy come from an area on the slopes overlooking the Côte de Beaune. This high-altitude terroir offers slightly cooler climatic conditions, ideal for preserving the tension and vibrancy of the berries. The vineyard is farmed according to the principles of sustainable viticulture, with interventions kept to a strict minimum. The soils are partly ploughed by draught horse, and the harvest is carried out entirely by hand.

    Vinification and ageing

The Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune 2022 is crafted using traditional, low-intervention methods. The juice is vinified in large oak foudres. The wine then undergoes extended ageing for 12 to 14 months in the estate's cellars, refining its structure and clarifying its profile before being bottled directly at the property.

    Grape variety

    100% Chardonnay.
