Reductive smokiness still clings to lemon and yeast notes on this wine's nose. The palate has smoky allure from oak, with a textured midpalate that speaks of yeast, citrus pith and depth. Chalky concentration spreads cooling freshness despite the year's ripeness. While this wine is rounded and sonorous, it is also vivid and fresh, with a lemony, chalky and textured finish that lasts. Lemon confit, white flowers and a discreet touch of oak all marry together in this very pretty and expressive Chablis. Beautifully lifted aromatics round things out in style.
