    Decanter

Gentle grilled coffee beans on the nose here; it’s easy and appealing while delivering the estate’s signature. The tannins are a little chewy and it’s more structured than you first think from the aromatics, but it’s enjoyable and has easy appeal.

Notes of ripe currants and black cherries with dried flowers, leafy herbs and walnut. Medium- to full-bodied, chewy and structured with velvety tannins and a firm, but refreshing finish. Try after 2024.

Full bottle 1,266 g. Certified HVE. Inky fruit, cedary oak. Gritty, ink-dust-powdery tannins. Big but quite short, with gaps between the tannins, alcohol and oak. (TC)

Flowers, licorice, cocoa and plum aromatics come through with little effort. On the palate, the wine is soft, fresh and fruity, with a polished, sweet, chocolate and cherry finish. Drink from 2023-2034.

This Dame de Boüard has character—and it clearly runs in the family! Clearly shaped by its terroir, the wine reveals chalky nuances and freshness. Slightly creamy, it shows good density along with a structuring acidity that lends a incisive edge. A harmonious, sapid wine.

The nose is fresh, fruity, racy and offers lovely energy as well as a certain grain power. We find notes of wild blackberry, fresh violet and, more slightly, fresh pepper, combined with touches of fairly ripe red berries, a discreet hint of almost roasted cherry, as well as fine hints of nutmeg. The palate is fruity, balanced, elegant and offers juiciness, minerality, a tangy backbone, good definition, a fine creaminess and indulgence. On the palate, this wine reveals notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, fresh/creamy blackcurrant and, more slightly, fresh/ripe red berries, combined with small touches of roasted cherry, lilac, nutmeg, as well as a subtle hint of pepper (in the background) and toastiness. The tannins are supple. Good length. Lots of sapidity!
