Description
The refinement and freshness of a Pomerol wine
The estate
The La Petite Église estate, located in Pomerol, was founded in 1986 by Denis Durantou, also the owner of L'Église-Clinet. Created to reveal a particular expression of the terroir, it showcases plots of sandy gravel. Although associated with Château L'Église-Clinet, this wine is designed as an independent entity. Since Durantou's passing in 2020, his family and team have continued his work with the same commitment to quality.
The vineyard
The vineyard covers approximately 4.5 hectares, mainly on sandy gravel soils typical of Pomerol. The vines, over 40 years old, are cultivated using sustainable farming practices that respect the environment.
Vinification and ageing
Hand-harvested. Aged in barrels, 65% of which are new. Alcohol content: 13.80% vol.
Blend
La Petite Église 2025 is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
