Description
A white Reuilly from the Loire, born of sand, gravel and limestone
The estate
Les Vins d'Emmanuelle is a négociant house in the Loire Valley, specialising in wines from the Central Loire and led by Emmanuelle Mellot. She comes from a Loire winemaking family whose history dates back to the 16th century. After many years at Domaine Alphonse Mellot in Sancerre, she created her own business. Founded on parcel selections and on partnerships with growers, the house offers cuvées from Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé, Menetou-Salon, Reuilly and Quincy.
The vineyard
This 2024 Reuilly comes from the Reuilly appellation, located in the south-west part of the Central Loire. The vineyard enjoys a temperate climate with a continental tendency. The vines grow on terraces of sand and gravel as well as on slopes of limestone marl. The grapes come from growers who are partners of the house.
Grape variety
Marcelle 2024 from Les Vins d'Emmanuelle is 100% Sauvignon Blanc.
