    Description

Characteristics and tasting notes of the Quincy 2024 Les Vins d'Emmanuelle

    Tasting

    Colour
The colour reveals lovely green or yellow-green hues, characteristic of its youth.

    Nose
The nose expresses a fruity bouquet marked by ripe citrus aromas such as grapefruit, mingled with exotic notes of pineapple and lychee, along with a delicate floral touch reminiscent of acacia.

    Palate
On the palate, this dry white wine proves lively and mineral. It offers lovely tension and vibrant freshness, supported by a precise and luminous structure that showcases the purity of the fruit.

    Food and wine pairing

Ideal as an aperitif, this wine also pairs wonderfully with fresh fish in sauce or local goat's cheeses, enhancing the region's flavours beautifully.

    Service and storage

After a light aeration, this Quincy 2024 will reveal all its complexity. It can be enjoyed now to appreciate its freshness, or kept in bottle to allow more spicy and honeyed notes to develop.

    Other characteristics

This dry white wine has a moderate alcohol content of 12.5%.

The authentic expression of Sauvignon Blanc on the Quincy terroir

    The estate

Officially founded in 2017, the négociant house Les Vins d'Emmanuelle is run by Emmanuelle Mellot. Drawing on a family heritage spanning more than five centuries in the Loire region, the current owner chose to forge her own path after working at Domaine Alphonse Mellot. Based in Sancerre, she passionately selects cuvées from lesser-known terroirs. A staunch advocate for the environment, she favours a certified biodynamic approach, delivering wines that are authentic, floral, and deeply marked by their terroir.

    The vineyard

The Quincy appellation stands out for its homogeneous terroir located on the left bank of the Cher. The vines flourish on alluvial soils composed of sand and gravel, sometimes resting on formations of clay and pink limestone. This unique terroir, combined with a hot, dry continental climate, promotes optimal drainage and rapid soil warming, allowing the grapes to reach perfect ripeness.

    Winemaking and aging

For this Quincy 2024, the grapes are hand-harvested using small crates. The berries undergo rigorous sorting on a conveyor belt before gentle pressing aimed at extracting the finest aromas. Aging takes place over a period of seven to nine months, mainly in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of the fruit, with a final refinement on the lees.
