Tasting
Colour
This cuvée presents a clear, brilliant colour.
Nose
The nose combines white fruits and citrus with delicate floral notes, enhanced by touches of fresh hay.
Palate
On the palate, the cuvée stands out for its tension and finely chiselled acidity. A pleasing roundness envelops flavours of yellow fruits and citrus. The long, saline finish extends into a lingering minerality.
Food and Wine Pairing
Mon Loup is a delight as an aperitif, served with gougères or fish rillettes. At the table, it pairs beautifully with seafood such as langoustines or scallops, as well as poached or grilled white fish. It also matches well with roast poultry with herbs, a lightly spiced dish such as a tagine, or a local goat's cheese such as crottin de Chavignol.
A rich and delicate white wine from the Loire
The Estate
Founded in 2017 in Sancerre, Les Vins d'Emmanuelle is a selection house for Loire wines. Its owner and director, Emmanuelle Mellot, established the business after more than fifteen years at Domaine Alphonse Mellot, where she served as sales and communications director. The house explores the appellations of the Central Loire (Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé, Menetou-Salon, Reuilly and Quincy), complemented by a sparkling wine from Vouvray. It offers "tailor-made" wines from environmentally respectful winegrowers, and pays careful attention to the visual identity of its labels.
The Vineyard
This cuvée is a wine from the Menetou-Salon appellation, located in the Central Loire, not far from Sancerre. The grapes come from partner winegrowers.
