A broad and remarkably fresh Burgundy Grand Cru white wine

    The estate

The largest wine estate in Burgundy, Louis Latour boasts a winemaking history of over 200 years. Spanning the finest Premier and Grand Cru plots from the Côte de Beaune to the Côte de Nuits, the estate’s 50-hectare vineyard produces a range of wines from 130 appellations, each expressing the authentic and refined character of their original terroir.

An illustrious Burgundy estate, Louis Latour has been actively committed to sustainable and environmentally respectful viticulture since 1996.

    The vineyard

This Grand Cru from Maison Louis Latour is a single-varietal white wine produced in the Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet appellation. The name Criots, belonging to this appellation created in 1937, comes from the word “craie” (chalk), reflecting the limestone-rich nature of this terroir. The Louis Latour plot is located in the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet, within the 1.57 hectares of the appellation, and benefits from soils composed of scree over limestone subsoils, gravel, and sometimes even clay.

    Vinification and aging

Manual harvest. Traditional fermentation in oak barrels from the estate’s cooperage. Full malolactic fermentation followed by 8 to 10 months of aging in new oak barrels.

    Blend

    Chardonnay (100%)
