    The Estate

Established in 1797 by the Latour family, this Burgundian estate has remained independent and family-owned for over two centuries. Historically located in Aloxe-Corton in the Côte de Beaune, Louis Latour is now the largest Grand Cru estate in the Côte d'Or. The estate is still run by the Latour family, perpetuating the tradition of passing down the name Louis from generation to generation, showcasing an ancestral know-how that combines cooperage and exceptional Burgundian viticulture.

    The Vineyard

This Echézeaux originates from a superb parcel located above Clos Vougeot, between Vosne-Romanée and Vougeot in the Côte de Nuits. Formerly the property of the Abbey of Cîteaux, this terroir features diversified and complex soils composed of clay, limestone and gravel, with an east-facing exposure. The vines, averaging 40 years of age, yield a controlled output of 35 hectoliters per hectare and are hand-harvested to preserve the quality of the grapes.

    Winemaking and Aging

Traditional winemaking takes place in open vats with complete malolactic fermentation. Aging occurs over 10 to 12 months in 100% new French oak barrels from the Louis Latour cooperage with medium toast, imparting to the wine its harmonious structure and great aging potential.
