    The Estate

Founded in 1797 by Jean Latour in Aloxe-Corton, the Louis Latour estate has remained an independent family property for more than two centuries in Burgundy. With its 50 hectares of vineyards, the house is now the largest single owner of Grands Crus in the Côte d'Or, notably holding emblematic parcels in Corton Grèves and Corton Bressandes. Managed by the Latour family, who carry on the tradition of the name Louis with each generation, the company stands out as a pioneer in Burgundy wine export and for its ability to blend traditional heritage with a modern vision.

    The Vineyard

The climat "Charmes" is located to the south of the village of Meursault, in the Côte de Beaune. This parcel takes its name from former fallow lands, planted on a particularly well-drained, mineral-rich marl and limestone terroir. The vines, averaging 35 years old, benefit from ideal conditions for expressing Chardonnay, with controlled yields and exclusively manual harvests.

    Winemaking and Aging

Traditional vinification in oak barrels with full malolactic fermentation. Aging extends for 8 to 10 months in medium-toast French oak barrels, 50 % of which are new, all sourced from the Louis Latour cooperage.

    Grape Variety

This wine is made from 100 % Chardonnay, the emblematic grape variety of Burgundy's great White wines.
