    James Suckling

A magnificent white with great depth of fruit and superb intensity, showing flint, stone, nutmeg, thyme and a touch of lemon rind. It’s so full, with profound depth that draws you into the wine. Lasts for minutes. Needs at least four or five years to show its full potential. Drink after 2024.

    Bettane+Desseauve

Undeniably a great wine: pedigree, brilliance, tension, length—a true Montrachet for special occasions, provided the cork doesn’t let it down.

    The estate

Founded in 1797, the Louis Latour maison is today represented by the 11th generation, led by Louis-Fabrice Latour. A négociant-éleveur, Maison Louis Latour owns the largest Grand Cru estate in Burgundy.

    The vineyard

This Louis Latour Grand Cru is a Montrachet wine produced from a vineyard whose vines, averaging 40 years of age, are planted on soils composed of chalk, gravel, and limestone.

    Winemaking and aging

After manual harvesting, fermentation is carried out traditionally in oak barrels with 100% malolactic fermentation. Aging for 10 to 12 months is done in French oak barrels (100% new) from Maison Louis Latour’s cooperage.

    Blend

    Chardonnay (100%).
