    The estate

Founded in 1797 by Jean Latour in Beaune, Louis Latour remains a family-run estate now led by the eleventh generation. Established in Burgundy across 50 hectares, it is the largest owner of Grands Crus in the Côte d'Or, with exceptional parcels in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. A pioneer of modern winemaking techniques since the 19th century, the house blends innovation and tradition, preserving its historic cellars while maintaining its family independence.

    The vineyard

The "Les Petits Monts" parcel lies in the upper part of the Vosne-Romanée slope, benefiting from iron- and clay-rich soils particularly favorable to Pinot Noir. The vines, averaging 30 years of age, thrive on this northern Nuits-Saint-Georges terroir where geological conditions allow the Burgundian grape to express itself at its best. Manual harvesting and yields controlled at 38 hl/ha ensure exceptional grape quality.

    Winemaking and aging

Vinification takes place in open vats with full malolactic fermentation. Aging lasts 10 to 12 months in medium-toast French oak barrels, with 40% new barrels from the Louis Latour cooperage. This respectful approach preserves the fruit expression while providing the structure necessary for this great age-worthy wine.

    Grape variety

100% Pinot Noir, the emblematic grape of Burgundy, which finds in the Vosne-Romanée terroirs a particularly refined and complex expression.
