The elegance and richness of an Alsace riesling

    The estate

Founded in 1626 in Riquewihr, Maison Trimbach embodies nearly four centuries of Alsatian winemaking expertise. Today, it is led by Jean Trimbach, a figure of the twelfth generation, with the thirteenth generation represented in particular by Anne, Frédérique, Pauline and Julien Trimbach. The estate covers 60 hectares of vineyards, mainly around Ribeauvillé. Certified organic since 2023, it was named “Brand of the Year 2025” by La Revue du Vin de France. Its style is based on the pursuit of balance and purity, producing refined wines built for long aging.

    The vineyard

The Riesling "Cuvée Frédéric Emile" is crafted from a rigorous selection of grapes sourced from the Grands Crus Geisberg and Osterberg, in Ribeauvillé in Alsace. The vines, planted on slopes overlooking the town, benefit from southern and south-southeast exposures. The marl-limestone soils give the wine its signature minerality. Over fifty years old, the vines have deep root systems, encouraging a precise expression of the terroir.

    Winemaking and aging

The grapes for the Riesling "Cuvée Frédéric Emile" were hand-harvested and carefully pressed. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks to preserve aromatic purity. Aging on fine lees, without oak, maintains freshness and the expression of the grape variety. No malolactic fermentation was carried out, in keeping with the estate’s philosophy of preserving natural vibrancy. The wine then benefited from several years of bottle aging before being released.
