The Estate
Markus Molitor is a Moselle estate in Germany, named after its founder. Markus Molitor took over his father's exceptional house in 1984 at the age of 20. He represents the eighth generation of his family to produce wine. It is he who bestowed his name on the estate, thereby expressing his ambition to restore the Moselle Riesling to its former prestige.
The Vineyard
The vineyard of Markus Molitor extends over the steep slopes of the Moselle. The soils are primarily composed of slate, giving the wines a characteristic minerality.
The Wine
The Riesling Vogelsang Kabinett Domane Serrig comes from a plot located in the village of Serrig, benefiting from a southeast exposure and a slate-rich soil. The Serrig estate was once a vineyard of the Prussian state.
