The estate

In the heart of Terrasses du Larzac, Mas Cal Demoura is a pioneering estate in the renaissance of Languedoc wines. Founded in the 1990s, the estate watches over the exceptional terroir of Jonquières. Since 2004, Isabelle and Vincent Goumard have been dedicated to revealing the best of this terroir.

The vineyard

A benchmark among the great wines of Languedoc, Mas Cal Demoura tends a 16-hectare vineyard with soils composed primarily of limestone and clay-limestone pebbles. The vines, cultivated using organic farming methods, benefit from a Mediterranean climate tempered by the cool air from the Larzac plateau while also enjoying the influence of the nearby sea, which limits the effects of drought.

The wine

Les Combariolles 2013 from Mas Cal Demoura is a Terrasses du Larzac wine produced from a single-plot selection on the lieu-dit Les Combariolles, with limestone pebble soils.

Winemaking and aging

Aged for 12 months in demi-muids, followed by an additional 4 months of aging in stainless steel tanks.
