Description
The fruit and balance of a Willamette Valley red wine
The estate
The Nicolas Jay winery was born from the friendship between Jean-Nicolas Méo, a Burgundian winemaker, and Jay Boberg, an American music producer.
Located in the North Willamette Valley in Oregon, the estate oversees a terroir largely composed of old vines. In addition, relationships with partner growers who farm their vineyards organically as well as biodynamically ensure a supply of high-quality grapes.
The vineyard
Nicolas Jay’s 2019 L'Ensemble Pinot Noir is a Willamette Valley wine made from a rigorous selection of vineyards from both the estate and partner growers, all certified organic, biodynamic, or LIVE (“Low Input Viticulture and Enology”).
An authentic and refined expression of the specificities of both the vintage and each terroir, this cuvée also reflects the philosophy and rigor championed by the estate throughout the viticultural work as well as during vinification.
Blend
Pinot Noir (100%).
