    Description

Characteristics and tasting notes of the Puligny-Montrachet Village "Le Trézin" 2024 by Pierre Girardin

    Tasting

    Nose
The nose offers great freshness and remarkable aromatic purity. It releases noble scents of almond paste, fern, exotic fruits and white flowers, subtly enhanced by light herbaceous and amber notes.

    Palate
The palate stands out for its linear structure and beautiful tension. The acidity, discreet yet perfectly integrated, gives way to a soft and flavourful expression that stretches into an impressive persistence.

    Food and wine pairings

This white wine pairs wonderfully with gratinated oysters served with chanterelles. It will also elevate noble fish such as sea bass or turbot, shellfish like scallops, as well as premium poultry served with creamy sauces.

    Serving and cellaring

To fully appreciate this wine, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 11 and 13°C.

The elegance and tension of a great white wine from the Côte de Beaune

    The estate

Founded in 2016 in Meursault, the Pierre Girardin estate is heir to thirteen generations of winegrowers. Now led by Pierre-Vincent Girardin, this young Burgundy estate has quickly established itself as an essential reference. The vineyard spans 6.5 hectares in the Côte de Beaune, complemented by 6.2 hectares in the Jura. The current owner takes great pride in revealing the singularity of each terroir with extreme precision, producing wines sought after for their outstanding purity.

    The vineyard

Located in the commune of Puligny-Montrachet, the vines benefit from an exceptional historical terroir. The well-drained slopes, combined with a south-eastern exposure and limestone-rich soils, provide ideal conditions to enhance the subtlety of the grape variety and reveal all the finesse and tension that characterise this lieu-dit.

    Winemaking and aging

The making of this wine relies on a constant pursuit of precision. Ageing is carried out meticulously using oak barrels of varied origins and toast levels. This bespoke approach supports the aromatic profile without ever masking it, thus ensuring a pure and transparent expression of the terroir.

    Grape variety

    Chardonnay (100%).
