Located in Tyrol, the Rochelt distillery works closely with passionate fruit growers, thus ensuring the traceability and purity of the fruits used. Rochelt brandies stand out for their meticulous production, with fruits picked at perfect ripeness, natural fermentation without addition, and slow and delicate double distillation. These methods, combined with extended ageing, give birth to brandies of great authenticity, powerfully expressing the original flavors of the fruit.
A spirit resulting from meticulous elaboration
The Williams pears used for this brandy are grown under the sunny climate of Western Styria, in Austria. Exposed to the sun, they reach perfect maturity, characterized by a light green to lemon yellow hue, often slightly reddened by the sun.
The harvest is carried out in several stages to ensure that each pear is at its optimum maturity. Subsequently, the pears are immediately fermented on site, thus preserving all their aromatic freshness. The must is then transported to the distillery where it is distilled according to Tyrolean tradition, with a double distillation, before the ageing phase.
