Bouchard Père & Fils : Beaune 1er cru "Clos de La Mousse" Domaine Monopole 2018

The 2018 Beaune 1er Cru Clos de la Mousse has turned out beautifully, delivering a generous nose of plums, wild berries, orange rind and spices. Medium to full-bodied, round and fleshy, it's generous and gourmand, with an enveloping core of fruit, powdery tannins and an expansive finish. This will offer a broad drinking window.

This is elegant, succulent and packed with cherry and black currant fruit, wrapped in spice and toasty oak accents. It hints at floral and mineral elements too, as the long aftertaste winds down on the finish. It's solidly built and complex. Best from 2023 through 2036. 200 cases imported.

Tight and tannic with linear sensibility. Rich yet compact structure. Dark fruit with ripe strawberries and dark chocolate that carry on for minutes on the finish. Drink after 2022.
