Nose
This wine unveils a bold and seductive aromatic bouquet. It exudes superb floral fragrances dominated by rose, whether fresh or in potpourri form, intertwined with aromas of red and black cherry. The whole is enriched by notes of liquorice and spice, along with refreshing balsamic and citrus touches.

Palate
On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied, fleshy and particularly enveloping texture. The palate is savoury, perfectly structured by an incisive acidity that lends it beautiful tension. This dynamic carries the wine towards a long, persistent finish, marked by pleasant fruity and balsamic echoes.

Food and wine pairing
This great red wine pairs wonderfully with flavourful dishes such as fresh tagliatelle with truffle, beef fillet with a morel sauce, or a fine herb-crusted rib steak. It will also beautifully complement white meats, poultry, charcuterie and well-aged hard cheeses.

Serving and cellaring
With its solid structure, this vintage boasts excellent ageing potential. It can evolve serenely in the cellar and is best enjoyed until around 2032, developing more complex, smoky and autumnal nuances over time.

The elegance of a great Italian Barolo cru by Ceretto

The estate
Founded in the 1930s by Riccardo Ceretto in Alba, at the heart of Piedmont, this illustrious family house played a pioneering role in showcasing the local terroirs. Now led by Alessandro Ceretto, the estate spans several dozen hectares, including more than 30 hectares around the Tenuta Monsordo Bernardina. Committed to organic and sustainable viticulture, this prestigious brand stands out for its unique approach combining respect for the land, contemporary architecture and art, embodying excellence within the Langhe.

The vineyard
The Brunate cru is a historic terroir located on the border between the communes of La Morra and Barolo. This prestigious vineyard of around 5.30 hectares benefits from an excellent full south-facing exposure. The plots extend mainly near the famous colourful chapel decorated by contemporary artists Sol LeWitt and David Tremlett.

Winemaking and ageing
The grapes are vinified at the Bricco Rocche Winery, a cellar located in Castiglione Falletto dedicated specifically to the house's grand crus. Historically, the estate favours ageing in oak barrels to refine the tannins of its wines, in keeping with the stylistic modernisation initiated in the 1980s.
