Wine Spectator

Bruce Sanderson

Clove, vanilla and butterscotch are the main flavor themes in this rich white, underscored by peach and apple pie notes. It's broad and immediately gratifying, losing a bit of steam on the finish. Drink now through 2024. 27 cases imported.

Vinous

Neal Martin

The 2018 Beaune Clos des Mouches Blanc 1er Cru offers jasmine and honeysuckle on the nose, one of the best-defined of Chanson’s whites and displaying good intensity. The palate is crisp on the entry with fine weight, light orange peel and citrus notes and a dab of spice on the finish. Drink over the next decade.

Wine Enthusiast

Anne Krebiehl MW

Lifted freshness, as from herb-scented lemons, rises from the glass. The concentrated palate of this wine has a gentle texture that lets fruit speak, edged with pithiness that lends even more mouthfeel. The drive and energy of 2018 are captured well. It finishes dry and poised.
