Vinum

Delicately fragrant, red-fruited, with herbal spice and red-fruit aromas; on the palate, delicate fruit, fine-grained, not overbearing tannins, playing entirely on elegance.

Decanter

Floral and fruity, smells quite tangy - nicely scented though, really perfumed. Zingy, really alive and focussed in the glass. Almost sour but stays the right side of too tart with lift and focus. Not as much weight as some but the tannins are really fine and this has a menthol and mineral element. Vibrant and vivid. Focussed and streamlined in one single straight line with tension and a mineral bite. Light but elegant with a lifted finish. Ageing 50% new barrels, 18 months. 3.69pH.

James Lawther MW

72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Franc. Cask sample. Lively and fresh on the nose. Bright and digestible. A little light on the mid-palate but has structure and form. (JL)

Spicy black currants and floral aromas are already evident on the nose. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and fresh, with a crisp edge to the savory currants and a hint of peppery orange rind in the finish. Allow it a year or two in the bottle, and it will reward your patience. The wine consists of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, and 14% Cabernet Franc. This represents the highest percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon ever used in the blend in the history of the estate. 12.9% ABV, 3.69 pH. Harvesting took place on September 25 - October 5. Drink from 2028-2045. 92-94 Pts

Le Figaro Vin

Cherry tart, raspberry jam and dried fig create a gourmet, rounded bouquet of great elegance. On the palate, the wine is slender, succulent, generous, silky, with acidity that brings energy.

Vertdevin

The nose is fruity, elegant and indulgent, offering lovely definition, a certain plumpness and a distinct brightness of fruit. It reveals notes of Boysenberry and blueberry, with touches of elegant roasted red berries, as well as fine hints of anise, star anise, a hint of Cubeb pepper and flowers. The palate is beautifully handled, supple, fresh, juicy, pleasantly gourmand, nicely sapid, chiselled and precise, with an infusion-like character. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, elegant roasted red berries and Boysenberry, with touches of vibrant red cherry, plus hints of salinity and toast. Precision, accuracy and a certain aromatic concentration.
