Domaine de la Solitude 2021

Bright, with a slightly high-pitched core of white peach and Jonagold apple notes lined with chamomile and verbena. Shows good verve on the finish. Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now through 2026. 1,000 cases made.

A structured and layered white with sliced ripe apples, pear blossoms and hints of blossom honey. It’s medium-bodied with a solid core of fruity and phenolic texture. Drink or hold.

The 2021 Domaine de la Solitude Blanc has a light, slightly waxy bouquet that doesn't quite have the vivacity and tension of Lune d'Argent tasted directly before it. The palate is better, with a taut line of acidity. Green apple commingles with Anjou pear and a touch of freshly sliced grapefruit, leading to an energetic finish. Drink this over the next decade.

White flowers, orange rind, green apples, lemon custard and spice pop on the nose. The palate is even better with all its bright, crisp, juicy, sweet, crisp yellow citrus and white peaches. Drink from 2024–2030.

The 2021 Domaine De La Solitude Blanc shows the vintage’s fresher, focused style while still being concentrated and textured. Ripe melon, sappy flowers, and a kiss of minerality all define the aromatics, and it’s round, supple, and medium-bodied on the palate, with outstanding length.

A blend of 65% Sauvignon Blanc and 35% Semillon, the 2021 Domaine de la Solitude Blanc charges out with vibrant notes of white peaches and green apples, plus hints of struck flint, honeysuckle, and brine. Light-bodied, the palate has impressive intensity, with a racy backbone and a long, zesty finish.

Subtle, the bouquet displays many fruity nuances with aromas of quince, apricot and peach. The delicious character and refreshing acidity make this wine flavorsome, saline and persistent.

Based around a religious abbey and run by Domaine de Chevalier, this wine is packed with white fruits and touches of orange peel. With a majority of Sauvignon Blanc in the blend, the wine has a herbal edge. Drink from 2025.

The 2021 Blanc is showing well today, evoking aromas of nuts, pear, peach, herbs and lemon oil. Medium to full-bodied, bright and tensile, it’s juicy and fresh with a mouthwatering, delicate finish. This is a blend of 65% Sauvignon Blanc and 35% Sémillon matured sur lies for 10 months.
