Domaine Faiveley : Pommard 1er cru "Les Rugiens" 2017

The 2017 Pommard Les Rugiens 1er Cru has a fleshy, open-knit bouquet of tart red fruit, soy and light earthy aromas, a little more diffuse than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, but alas, it oxidized rapidly in the glass. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.

This smoky wine with firm tannins is set for the long haul. It has structure and a dry core that will soften into the rich red-berry fruits. Drink this wine from 2023.
