The classic, fleshy expression of the Côtes du Rhône appellation
The estate
The modern history of the Famille Perrin began in 1909, when Pierre Tramier acquired Château de Beaucastel. Located in Courthézon, in the Rhône Valley, this historic estate is now run by the fifth generation, represented by the Perrin brothers. Pioneers of organic farming as early as the 1950s and of biodynamics in 1974, the current owners uphold a philosophy centred on absolute respect for the terroir. The house is renowned worldwide for its ability to express the diversity of the Rhône through precise, balanced wines.
The vineyard
This Côtes du Rhône comes from carefully selected, complementary terroirs. The Grenache draws its richness from the Grand Prébois estate near Orange, where stony, gravelly clay-limestone soils are covered with rounded pebbles. The Syrah comes from cooler plots in Vinsobres, grown on terraces rich in quartz and marly limestone. This geographical diversity makes it possible to craft a balanced blend that is typical of the appellation.
The vintage
The 2024 vintage was marked by climatic challenges throughout the season. These demanding weather conditions called for constant vigilance and a considerable amount of work in the vineyard. Thanks to this meticulous attention, the harvested grapes proved perfectly balanced and expressive.
Winemaking and ageing
For this Réserve 2024 cuvée, the winemaking process aims to bring out the very best of each grape variety. The wine is then aged for one year in barrels, refining its structure and tannins.
Grape varieties
Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre.
