An exceptional white Châteauneuf-du-Pape from the Rhône Valley
The estate
Founded in 1999, the Xavier Vignon house has established itself as a unique reference in the southern Rhône Valley. As a consulting oenologist, merchant, and winemaker, Xavier Vignon personally manages his estate, which spans 30 hectares. His Arcane collection bears witness to this creative approach, offering unique cuvées that push the boundaries of oenological innovation in the Rhône.
The vineyard
The vines are located in the northern part of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, on a mosaic of terroirs of great diversity. The soils alternate between rolled pebbles, sandy, clay, and limestone zones, imparting remarkable complexity and balance to the wine.
Winemaking and ageing
The Arcane Le Pape Blanc 2023 benefits from a long fermentation spanning 6 to 8 months, followed by traditional winemaking. The 24-month ageing of this white wine from the Rhône Valley takes place in the Vinarium®, an innovative system that allows for maturation protected from external influences.
