A maritime, powerful Highlands whisky at natural strength
Clynelish, an iconic Scottish distillery
Founded in 1819 in the village of Brora, Clynelish is a Northern Highlands distillery established on Scotland’s east coast. Owned by Diageo since its acquisition by DCL in 1912, Clynelish underwent a decisive modernization in 1967 with the construction of a new distillery equipped with six stills. The former site, renamed Brora in 1969, then produced a heavily peated Islay-style malt before closing in 1983. This distinctive duality gives Clynelish a unique status: on the one hand, a malt renowned for premium blends; on the other, Brora, which became a cult whisky among collectors and was recently reopened in 2024.
A spirit embodying the raw, authentic expression of a coastal Highlands whisky
Bottled at 57.5%, this single malt reveals the full power of Clynelish’s maritime character, with its so distinctive saline and mineral notes. Maturation exclusively in first-fill American oak casks brings a gourmet dimension with aromas of caramel and vanilla, while preserving the distillery’s coastal identity. This Scotch whisky celebrates the balance between strength and finesse, offering an intense, enveloping tasting experience.
