The attack on the palate offers a velvety, supple texture. The palate unveils a harmonious balance between sweetness and spice, with notes of coffee, caramel, honey, milk chocolate, and crème brûlée. An Irish single pot still combining richness and balance
Spot Whiskey: the legacy of the Mitchell wine merchants
Created by the Mitchell family, Dublin wine merchants established in 1805, Spot Whiskey takes its name from the distinctive marking applied to casks according to their age. As early as 1887, the Mitchells shipped their empty wine, sherry, and port casks to Jameson’s Bow Street distillery, where they were filled and aged. After the 1966 merger that formed Irish Distillers Ltd, production was concentrated at the Midleton Distillery in Cork, Ireland. Owned by Pernod Ricard since 1988, this range of Single Pot Still Whiskey embodies a return to the roots of Irish whiskey, perpetuating a centuries-old artisanal tradition through its Green Spot and Yellow Spot expressions.
Yellow Spot 12 Years Old: a single pot still whiskey embodying the excellence of Irish tradition
Crafted using ancestral methods, this Irish whiskey is aged in a unique combination of three types of casks (American bourbon, Spanish sherry, and Malaga). Combining malted barley and unmalted barley, this spirit undergoes triple distillation. This artisanal approach yields a spirit of great finesse and remarkable aromatic complexity, true to the heritage of Irish whiskey. Yellow Spot 12 Years Old is an unpeated single pot still. The whiskey is non-chill filtered in order to preserve the full integrity of its aromas and its natural texture.
