The 2013 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir has an outgoing bouquet with dried apricot, quince and beeswax on the nose, nicely defined, but not as sophisticated as the superior 2014. The palate is fresh, with fresh pear and nettle notes, good acidity, but just missing a little complexity toward the agreeably saline finish. Drink this before the succeeding vintage.

Harvested at optimal ripeness, the fruit is delicate, the tension builds gradually, it will age slowly.

From vines on the sunny side of the vineyard, this wine is richly textured and structured, full of generous yellow and white fruits, spice and layers of wood aging. It has a honeyed character, typical of 2013, with a tight, taut, crisp acidity at the end. Drink this strongly structured wine from 2019.
