Tasting
Nose
The nose reveals aromas of blackberry and cardamom, enhanced by notes of mocha.
Palate
On the palate, notes of black fruit are accompanied by liquorice spice, offering a lovely depth. Floral and bay leaf notes bring delicate freshness. Finesse and acidity harmonise perfectly, promising a long and lingering finish.

The estate
Founded in 1969, Yarra Yering is one of the oldest and most beautiful vineyards in the Yarra Valley, in the state of Victoria. Named "Winery of the Year 2024" by The Real Review, a leading authority in Australian wine criticism, this estate is an unmissable icon. Under the direction of Sarah Crowe, several times voted Australia's best winemaker, and Andrew George, recognised as the country's best vineyard manager, Yarra Yering produces cuvées acclaimed by wine lovers around the world.
The vineyard
The Yarra Valley vineyard, located in the state of Victoria in Australia, is one of the country's most prestigious wine regions. Renowned for its cool climate, this region primarily produces elegant wines.
The cuvée
The grapes come from plots planted in 1990 on a terraced rocky hillside, with classic Portuguese grape varieties.
Winemaking and aging
Hand-harvested, the bunches are destemmed while preserving as many whole berries as possible. The must is first foot-trodden, in the manner of traditional Portuguese lagares, to extract tannins from the skins and pips. The process continues with gentle pressing, followed by 10 months of aging in old oak barrels.
