The estate
Founded in 1963 by Alberto Zuccardi, the Zuccardi estate has established itself as a leading brand in Argentina. Located in the Mendoza region, the estate spans 1,001 hectares spread across several prestigious areas. Today, José Alberto Zuccardi is the owner and central figure of the estate, supported by the third generation, including Sebastián as technical director. A pioneer of sustainable viticulture in South America, the estate has been certified biodynamic since 2016. It stands out for its commitment to faithfully reflecting the identity of its Andean terroirs through exceptional cuvées.

The vineyard
This mountain wine comes from a unique vineyard located in the Paraje Altamira Geographical Indication, within the Valle de Uco. Reaching 1,100 metres in altitude, the vines are planted on the highest part of the alluvial cone of the Tunuyán River. The terroir is characterised by shallow soils, composed of an infinite quantity of stones, large granite blocks and limestone deposits. Cultivated on twelve different soil variations, this vineyard is subject to a meticulous selection of plots to express all the complexity of its environment.

Vinification and ageing
The creation of the Finca Piedra Infinita Malbec 2021 begins with manual harvesting accompanied by rigorous sorting of the bunches. To preserve the integrity of the berries, the transfer to the vats is carried out by gravity. Fermentation then takes place in concrete vats thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts. Finally, the ageing of this cuvée is carried out entirely in concrete containers, without any contact with wood, in order to preserve the purity of the fruit and the authentic expression of its terroir.
