    Description

Characteristics and tasting notes of the Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits "Les Dames Huguettes" 2024 by Albert Bichot

    Tasting

    Appearance
This wine reveals a beautiful ruby-red colour, both deep and bright.

    Nose
The aromatic bouquet displays remarkable freshness, driven by aromas of red and black fruits such as raspberry and blackcurrant. Delicate floral hints reminiscent of rose and violet blend in, underlined by a subtle mineral thread.

    Palate
The palate offers a velvety and particularly indulgent texture. The tannins, though present, prove to be wonderfully supple. The whole extends towards a vibrant finish, dominated by freshness and fruit.

    Food and wine pairings
This cuvée will pair beautifully with red or white meats, whether roasted or slowly braised. It will also be an ideal match for a platter of medium-bodied cheeses.

    Serving and cellaring
To fully appreciate the Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits "Les Dames Huguettes" 2024, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 14 and 15°C. While it can perfectly be enjoyed in its youth, on the fruit, it also has cellaring potential that will allow it to evolve favourably and be drunk until around 2029.

The elegance of a Pinot Noir crafted by Albert Bichot

    The estate
Founded in 1831, the Albert Bichot House is a true institution in Burgundy. Now led by Albéric Bichot, who represents the sixth generation, this family-owned estate shines around the world. The domaine draws on an exceptional vineyard of more than one hundred hectares, spread across the region's most prestigious appellations and largely certified organic. Renowned for its excellence and its historic commitment to the Hospices de Beaune, this prestigious name masterfully combines respect for winemaking traditions with a vision resolutely turned towards the future.

    The vineyard
The "Les Dames Huguettes" Climat enjoys a privileged location on an ideally exposed plateau overlooking Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the heart of Burgundy. Perched at an altitude ranging between 300 and 400 metres, this terroir stands out for its clay-limestone soils resting on a subsoil of Jurassic rock. These unique geographical and geological conditions foster a slow and optimal ripening of the grapes, giving the wine beautiful freshness and a marked mineral identity.

    Winemaking and aging
The making of the Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits "Les Dames Huguettes" 2024 begins with a fermentative maceration lasting 18 to 20 days, carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This is followed by a meticulous ageing period spanning 12 to 14 months. To perfect the balance of the cuvée, 40% of the wine is aged in oak barrels, bringing complexity, while the remaining 60% is kept in stainless steel tanks to preserve the brightness and purity of the fruit.

    Grape variety
This cuvée is made exclusively from 100% Pinot Noir.
