A Burgundy Grand Cru from the Côte de Nuits combining power and elegance

    The property

Founded in 1831 by Bernard Bichot, the Albert Bichot house is a pillar of viticulture in Burgundy, with a family presence dating back to 1214. Today led by Albéric Bichot, the sixth generation, it extends over 100 hectares across six emblematic domains, from Chablis to Beaujolais. The house stands out for its commitment to organic farming and its duality as a merchant and domain. Its winemaking style, combining aromatic purity and balance, faithfully reflects the Burgundian terroirs, reinforcing its international reputation.

    The vineyard

The Clos de la Roche is located north of the village of Morey-Saint-Denis, near Gevrey-Chambertin. This grand cru benefits from an exceptional terroir characterized by clay-limestone soils where limestone predominates, giving the wines their distinctive minerality. The vines, planted at an altitude between 250 and 300 meters, benefit from an ideal exposure that promotes optimal maturation of the pinot noir.

    Vinification and aging

Vinification takes place in thermo-regulated oak conical vats. Fermentation and maceration extend over a period of 20 to 28 days, allowing optimal extraction of aromas and tannins. The aging then continues entirely in oak barrels, 50 to 70% of which are new wood, for 14 to 16 months, giving the wine its characteristic structure and complexity.

    Grape variety

    100% pinot noir.
