Elegant and complex, the aromatic bouquet expresses rich floral and fruity aromas. Seductive notes of violet and rose can be detected, harmoniously blended with hints of raspberry and liquorice.

The elegance of a great Piedmont wine by Antinori - Prunotto
The estate
Originally founded in 1904 as a cooperative in Piedmont, the estate took its current name in the 1930s thanks to Alfredo Prunotto. Now an internationally renowned brand, it is today owned by the famous Antinori family (Marchesi Antinori). Ideally located in Alba, the estate spans more than 70 hectares. A pioneer in creating single-vineyard cuvées as early as 1961, Prunotto now combines respect for historic traditions with excellence in viticulture and sustainable practices to produce wines of exceptional quality.
The vineyard
Produced since the 1970s, this great Langhe Nebbiolo wine comes from the historic Occhetti vineyard, located in the Roero area. This unique terroir is distinguished by soils composed of surface sands, layered with strata of gravel, clay and limestone. This particular geology, combined with meticulous manual harvesting, results in grapes of great finesse, favouring the floral expression and tannic suppleness characteristic of this cuvée.
The vintage
The 2023 growing season began under warm, dry conditions until mid-May. The Alba region then experienced significant rainfall. From the beginning of July, temperatures returned to normal, punctuated by a few summer storms. While these weather conditions led to a decrease in yields, they had no negative impact on the quality of the berries or their optimal ripening.
Winemaking and ageing
Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are destemmed and crushed. Skin maceration takes place over a short period of seven days, at a controlled maximum temperature of 29 °C. Malolactic fermentation is completed before winter. The wine then undergoes ageing for approximately 16 months, split between 70-hectolitre oak casks and third-fill barrels, before resting for a further four months in bottle.
