The estate

Founded in 2007 by Francine Picard, its current owner and director, the Au Pied du Mont Chauve estate has quickly established itself as a leading reference in Burgundy. Spanning approximately 30 hectares of vines certified organic and farmed biodynamically, the estate embodies a constant pursuit of excellence and respect for the environment. Under the leadership of its director, the estate produces terroir-driven wines of great precision, reflecting all the richness and diversity of the climats of the prestigious Côte de Beaune.

The vineyard

The Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Demoiselles" comes from a sub-climat of the renowned Caillerets terroir. Ideally facing south-southeast at around 150 metres in altitude, the vines thrive on well-drained soils made up of marl and colluvial deposits of very stony brown limestone. This exceptional terroir offers optimal conditions for growing vines, ensuring a perfect balance between aromatic richness and mineral tension. This 0.14-hectare plot is home, in particular, to some very old vines aged 70 years.
