This has a high-toned edge to the currant, wild cherry and underbrush notes. Firm tannins heighten the austerity as this finishes with a dusty, chalky feel. It offers pretty fruit, so be patient. Best from 2019 through 2030. 100 cases imported.

Extremely aromatic with crushed-berry and spice character. Medium body, pretty density and depth, fine tannins and an immaculate finish. Focused and lively. Drink now or hold.

45% new oak. Healthy, deep ruby. Cleaner nose than the BP&F Côte de Beaune wines. Attractively fruity nose with just a hint of toast. Refined tannins and good, ripe, slightly soft fruit. This somehow tastes rather worked instead of a pure expression of the vineyard. (JR)

Here, the name “cailles” refers more to the limestone and eoliths contained in the soils than to the delicious game bird of the same name. The Maison owns one-third of the 3 hectares of this very gently sloping plot, from which this powerful, concentrated wine derives, with floral notes of violet and dark fruit, a considerable mid-palate, yet very Vosne-like in its velvety, silky touch, though slightly alcoholic. A wine that does honor to this exceptional climat and to the physical and qualitative proximity of Saint-Georges.
