Description
A Burgundian Chardonnay imbued with precision and balance
The estate
Established in 2004 following the division of the Michel Colin-Deleger family estate, Domaine Bruno Colin thrives on approximately 9 hectares in Burgundy. Bruno Colin cultivates more than 19 appellations between Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay and Dezize-les-Maranges. The domaine excels with its eight Premier Crus of Chassagne-Montrachet, embracing a minimalist philosophy to express the purity of its terroirs. Oak barrel aging with a proportion of new wood shapes energetic and crystalline Chardonnays.
The vineyard
The Chassagne-Montrachet 1er cru En Remilly comes from a small 0.47-hectare parcel within the total 1.56-hectare climat, shared by only six producers. The clay-limestone soils provide ideal conditions for expressing Chardonnay.
Vinification and aging
It is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, of which 20 to 25% are new wood, and 3 to 6 months in vats.
Grape variety
This 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er cru "En Remilly" from Bruno Colin is 100% Chardonnay.
