The Power and Finesse of a Burgundy White Wine by Bruno Colin

    The Estate

Established in 2003 following the division of the family domaine Michel Colin-Deleger, Domaine Bruno Colin produced its first vintage in 2004. Today, Bruno Colin cultivates 8.55 hectares across the prestigious appellations of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay, and Dezize-les-Maranges. Trained at the Beaune Viticultural High School, he has developed a personal style that prioritizes freshness and the crystalline quality of his Chardonnays.

    The Vineyard

The cuvée "La Maltroie" comes from a 0.55-hectare plot in the lieu-dit «Ez Crets», in Chassagne-Montrachet, on clay-limestone soils. The vines, planted between 1952 and 2023, benefit from organic farming practices with mechanical soil work and plowing.

    Winemaking and Aging

Hand-harvested grapes with rigorous sorting. Aged for 12 months in 350-liter barrels, including 15 to 20% new wood. This phase is followed by 4 to 6 months of tank aging before bottling, allowing the wine to develop its complexity while preserving the purity of the fruit.

    Grape Variety

    100% Chardonnay.
