Casamigos Tequila: a passion that became a global benchmark
Founded in 2013 by actor George Clooney, businessman Rande Gerber and real estate developer Mike Meldman, Casamigos has become an iconic brand from Mexico, originating in the Jalisco region. Born of a shared passion for exceptional tequila, it was initially intended for their personal enjoyment before achieving meteoric commercial success. In 2017, Diageo acquired the brand, confirming its iconic status. Made exclusively from Weber blue agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Casamigos stands out for its meticulous, artisanal production process, delivering exceptional smoothness that makes it a pleasure to enjoy neat, without accompaniment.
Casamigos Blanco: the pure expression of blue agave
Casamigos Blanco is produced from 100% Weber blue agave, aged 7 to 9 years and harvested by hand in the highlands of Jalisco. The agave piñas are cooked for 72 hours in traditional brick ovens, allowing the natural aromas and signature agave sweetness to develop. Fermentation lasts more than 3 days in tanks filled with water. After distillation, this tequila Blanco is aged for 2 months in oak barrels, adding roundness and extra complexity while preserving its freshness. This artisanal approach has earned Casamigos Blanco several medals at major international competitions, notably the Ultimate Spirits Challenge and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
