    Description

The aromatic complexity and minerality of a champagne crafted by Telmont

    The estate

Founded in 1912 by the Lhôpital family, the Telmont Champagne House has seen successive generations of visionaries passionate about the Champagne terroirs. In 2020, the French group Rémy Cointreau joined the Telmont adventure, driven by a shared ambition to preserve the terroirs through organic farming and to build a large-scale eco-responsible project. This innovative approach also inspired Leonardo DiCaprio to become a shareholder in Maison Telmont. Meanwhile, Bertrand Lhôpital remains cellar master and vineyard manager, ensuring the quality of a family know-how spanning over a century.

    The vineyard

Maison Telmont covers 24.5 hectares in Damery, near Épernay in Champagne. Since 2017, Maison Telmont has been certified Organic Agriculture for part of its plots. In 2022, half of Maison Telmont’s land was under organic farming.

    The wine

Réserve Brut embodies the subtle union of the Champagne region’s three iconic grape varieties and seven different vintages. Together, this symphony of expressions reveals a perfect harmony that is rich, fruity, and marked by freshness. As the purest expression of the terroir, Réserve Brut pays tribute to the uniqueness of each year.

Réserve Brut comes from the following plots: Damery (44%), Fontette (8.5%), Songy (6.8%), Avize (6.7%), Saudoy (5.8%), Cumières (4.3%), Nogent l'Abesse (4%), Vertus (3.6%), Vinay (2.3%), Chaumuzy (2%), Boursault (2%), Epernay (1.9%), Fontaine Denis (1.6%), and Meurville (1.4%).

    Winemaking and aging

Réserve Brut follows the traditional Champagne winemaking process. The 2017 vintage was blended with reserve wines from 2014 and 2015. Bottling took place in 2018 and the champagne aged for 3 years. Malolactic fermentation was carried out.

This champagne has a dosage of 6.7 grams/liter.

    Blend

Chardonnay (43%), pinot meunier (43%), and pinot noir (20%).
