Telmont : Rosé Réserve

The NV Champagne Reserve Rosé Brut is composed of 87% Chardonnay and 13% Meunier (still red wine produced from old vines in the estate vineyards). It’s based on the 2016 vintage, with 27% reserve wine from 2015, 18% from 2014, and 3% from 2013. Pouring an orange/salmon hue, the wine is savory with aromas of orange rind, sour cherry, and wild raspberry. It offers a lovely texture with a pillowy mousse, lovely fresh purity, a rounded feel through the mid-palate, and a ripe cherry blossom-noted finish. It’s creamy in its mouthfeel, with a crisp lift of fresh acidity on the finish. A very pretty wine with good length, it will provide a solid drinking window over the coming 8-10 years. It was disgorged in 2022 and has 5.9 grams per liter of dosage.
