    Vinum

Stony, cool, dark fruit, coriander seeds; the wine feels slimmer and more elegant than in other years, well-integrated oak, a mineral-driven, red-fruited finish. Very Margaux.

    Decanter

Rich, deep, dark berry notes on the nose, with soft perfume. Nice aromatic complexity. Extremely fragrant but exceptionally light, purity of fruit, soft tannins, fine with a gentle grip and long cooling finish. Succulent and juicy but in a sombre way, the overall frame and execution of fruit is light. It does expand a little towards the finish, opening and becoming more expressive. Gentle with a nice minerality from deep gravel soils and a cooling touch – eucalyptus and fresh mint. Refined enjoyment. A blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 7% Cabernet Franc. 50% grand vin. Harvest began September 27th. Aging in 50-60% new oak.

    Zekun Shuai

Upfront oak spices with lots of red cherries, red currants and a hint of coffee. Juicy, fresh and chewy on the palate with medium to full body and a good crunch of red fruit. A bit woody now. Needs some time to soften. Try in 2025.

    Falstaff

    Falstaff

Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle ochre rim. An inviting bouquet with subtle notes of nougat, caramel and fine bourbon vanilla, dark berries and ripe cherries. Juicy, round and elegant with sweet fruit, silky tannins and a lasting finish. Already approachable with definite further ageing potential.

Damson and smoked oak on the nose, sweet fruit on the opening beats, and this is richer than many you will find in the appellation, with well-worked tannins. A gourmet feel, not quite masking the high acidities that appear on the finish, closing things down. But plenty of appeal, and estate signature. 70% new oak. 32 hl/ha yield. Harvest September 27 to October 12.

    La RVF

While the oak, with its toasted notes, is quite present, the substance is solid and the wine carries it well, preserving fruit notes and, above all, a pleasant, silky finish. A little less oak would not harm its balance.

    Le Figaro Vin

Fruity and juicy, like a raspberry or Morello cherry tart. Terribly indulgent without going overboard. The tannins are still quite present, but the texture becomes caressing, almost sensual, with gentle floral notes and a pleasant mineral touch.

Château Boyd-Cantenac has stayed true to itself for decades… and I think that’s absolutely right! Yes, the roasted notes are emphasized, but they’re so well supported by plenty of fruity nuances and even hints of peppermint and eucalyptus, bringing real freshness. On the palate, the wine shows a touch of sweetness from the élevage, along with compact tannins. Admittedly, it’s not as dense as usual, but it’s so delicious!!! A gourmet, authentic, inviting wine to enjoy with the people you love! A little warmth and light never hurt anyone ;-=

Dark, intense color. Moderately aromatic nose with fresh fruit. Caressing, flavorful palate, with a gentle nuance mingled with woody notes. Aromatic finish. Medium length.
