Château Canon La Gaffelière enjoys an exceptional location, at the foot of a hill, south of the village of Saint-Émilion, on the right bank of Bordeaux. For this 2018 vintage, the grape harvest began on September 17 and ended on October 4, 2018.

A vintage certified organic, the Château Canon La Gaffelière 2018 blends Merlot (50%), Cabernet Franc (35%) and Cabernet Sauvignon(15%).

At the tasting, the Château Canon La Gaffelière 2018 displays a dark purple colour with violet reflections. At first discreet, the nose opens on sumptuous aromas of red fruits (cherry with kirsch), evolving notes of liquorice, and floral fragrances, like orange blossom. Fine mineral notes appear next. On the palate, the wine displays an exquisitely velvety texture, structured by dense tannins with a silky grain. With its great precision and straightforwardness, the palate appears powerful and deep, while preserving a nice freshness. The finish here is elegant and refined, and very long.
