The estate
Château Closiot belongs to the iconic Mâconnais producer couple, Maine and Jean-Marie Guffens. Driven by their passion for Sauternes wines, they acquired this Barsac estate in 2017. There, they craft both sweet and dry wines of outstanding quality, widely praised by critics.
The vineyard
Located in Barsac, the Château Closiot vineyard benefits from morning mists and sunny harvests. These conditions favor the development of botrytis, producing wines that are both concentrated and light.
The wine
C de Sec is a dry white wine produced on land renowned for sweet wines.
Winemaking and aging
The majority of the Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc were vinified in barrels, with around 25% new oak. The Muscadelle grape variety was vinified in concrete tanks.

Tasting
Appearance
C de Sec 2018 displays a golden yellow color.
Nose
The aromatic bouquet reveals notes of very ripe fruit and exotic fruit. Toasted aromas are also present.
Palate
C de Sec 2018 embodies a Barsac wine that is both supple and full-bodied. It is both concentrated and intense. Lemony flavors emerge on the powerful and refreshing finish.
