    Description

Tasting Notes and Serving Suggestions for Tinus Pure Nature 2021 from Château des Tourettes

    Tasting

    Appearance

The wine shows a pale yellow to golden hue, bright and luminous. The absence of filtration gives the wine a slight natural haze, reflecting its production without technological intervention.

    Nose

The nose is fresh and delicate, revealing aromas of white flowers alongside notes of yellow fruits such as pear and apple. With aeration, nuances of toasted almond and spice emerge, adding further complexity to the aromatic profile.

    Palate

On the palate, the wine is round and generous, with a lovely enveloping texture. Flavors of pear and yellow apple mingle with hints of elderflower, supported by a pronounced mineral freshness. The finish, broad and concentrated, is lifted by a mineral brightness that brings definition and length to the tasting.

    Food and wine pairings

This white wine is an ideal match for roasted poultry or poultry in a light sauce, as well as delicate fish and seafood. It also pairs beautifully with fresh goat’s or cow’s milk cheeses. Its balanced structure makes it an excellent choice as an aperitif or alongside simple cuisine that highlights the quality of the ingredients.

    Serving and cellaring

Tinus Pure Nature 2021 is best enjoyed at a temperature between 8 and 10°C. This wine has an aging potential of around ten years, allowing it to evolve and develop even greater complexity over time.

The Freshness and Richness of a White Wine by Château des Tourettes

    The estate

Established in 1997, Château des Tourettes is a 15- to 19-hectare estate located in the Luberon, in the Rhône Valley, near Apt, at an altitude of 420 meters. It is owned by Maine and Jean-Marie Guffens-Heynen, recognized as one of the greatest producers of Burgundian white wines. Upon their arrival, the vineyard—degraded by chemical inputs—was thoroughly restructured. The atypical grape mix, including viognier, chardonnay, and roussanne, results in wines classified as Vin de France.

    The vineyard

The vines of Tinus Pure Nature are planted at 420 meters above sea level on the Luberon plateau, benefiting from a wide temperature range between day and night. This setting preserves the grapes’ freshness and acidity despite generous sunshine. The soils, made up of ancient alluvial deposits of rounded and flat pebbles, calcareous marls, and clay, give the wine its distinctive mineral character. The vineyard is managed according to sustainable practices, in harmony with the environment of the Luberon Regional Park. This Vin de France reflects the estate’s desire to free itself from appellation constraints in order to fully express its unique terroir.

    The vintage

The 2021 vintage proved to be a true winegrower’s year, marked by climatic challenges. Spring frosts in April and rainfall during harvest required constant attention in the vineyards. Despite these difficulties, the vintage is defined by beautiful freshness, remarkable acidity, and exemplary balance, yielding elegant, precise wines.

    Winemaking and aging

Tinus Pure Nature 2021 is made naturally, with spontaneous fermentation thanks to indigenous yeasts. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is aged for about ten months in concrete tanks on fine lees, without stirring. This method preserves aromatic purity and enhances the wine’s texture. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration, in keeping with the natural wine philosophy and allowing an authentic expression of fruit and terroir.
