    Vinum

Very dark color, dark-fruited on the nose, smoky notes, blackberries, herbs; dense on the palate, showing both concentration and great freshness, crisp fruit, pronounced yet fine tannins, character, spice, and good length. More austere than before, yet with a distinctive expression. Could gain further with maturation, suitable for aging.

    Decanter

Dark, fragrant black berries with milk chocolate accents. Smells rich and heady. Smooth and sappy, this has a nice texture straight away; fine tannins have a soft chalkiness with some bramble fruit underneath alongside subtle tobacco, dark chocolate and liquorice saltiness. Calm and collected, gentle yet still structured with a slow-building strength. Great mouth-watering acidity and fruit all the way through. A yield of 32hl/ha. 3.75 pH. 14% press. No Moulin de Duhart being offered En Primeur.

78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot. 32 hl/ha. First vintage certified organic. Cask sample. Aromatic and fresh with red-berry aromas but a little lean, the acidity present. Light but fine tannins. A little strict on the finish and unusually forward. (JL)

Currants, with tobacco leaf, and cigar box aromatics are already on display in the nose. Bright, fresh, crisp, and crunchy, there is a lot of vibrance to the red berries in the medium-bodied, vivid finish, topped off with a sprig of mint on the backend. Give it just a year, or two in the bottle, and this is going to be even better. The wine is a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 22% Merlot. 13% ABV, 14% press wine. Harvesting took place September 24 - October 8. Drink from 2028-2045. 92-94 Pts

    Le Figaro Vin

A pure, vibrant, succulent nose, threaded with pronounced graphite notes. The palate, meanwhile, is slender, fluid, of divine grace. Juicy and flavorful, it irresistibly calls for another sip.

    Vertdevin

(78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot) Lovely fruity nose, bright, finely creamy and energetic. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, mulberry leaf and, more lightly, pulpy wild strawberry, with touches of fleshy wild red berries as well as subtle hints of camphor, smoke, grey pepper, tobacco and an almost varietal nuance. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity and offers freshness, minerality, a fresh backbone, tangy lift, fine precision, and a touch of velvety, even creamy, freshness. On the palate, this wine shows notes of creamy blackcurrant and violet, and more lightly cornflower, combined with touches of red berries, as well as a subtle, almost floral hint and fresh cola. The tannins are velvety. A supple softness on the finish.

Shows density and balance, with leafy but fragrant aromatics that unfurl slowly, and bright acidity that is not overpowering to the blueberry and blackcurrant fruits. The skill of the Lafite team is clear here, and this is a classically balanced Duhart that will age well. Harvest September 25 to October 4, 32hl/h yield, above the Pauillac average. Moulin de Duhart is not being sold En Primeur.

    Jean-Marc Quarin

Beautiful deep colour. Moderately intense nose with ripe fruit, becoming silky when the glass is swirled. The palate is supple-bodied and particularly fruity, developing with a slightly fluid feel, yet very flavoursome and highly aromatic through the finish. Average length. Blend: 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot. Alcohol: 13% - pH: 3.6.

    Description

A great Pauillac wine combining refinement and aromatic intensity

    The property

Located in the heart of the Pauillac appellation, the Château Duhart-Milon fully embodies the spirit of this exceptional terroir. Ranked 4th Cru in the prestigious 1855 classification, this estate finds its origins in the 18th century, when the Lafite family undertook to cover Pauillac with vines, permanently shaping the wine landscape of the region.

    The vineyard

Château Duhart-Milon comes from a 76-hectare vineyard, established in Pauillac to the west of Château Lafite-Rothschild. The vines flourish on fine gravel and aeolian sand soils, resting on a tertiary limestone subsoil, offering ideal conditions for the maturity of the grapes.

    The blend

Château Duhart-Milon 2024 comes from a blend dominated by cabernet sauvignon (78%), complemented by merlot (22%).
