    Vinum

The nose recalls a freshly made wild-berry compote with vanilla ice cream; on the palate it is creamy and powerful, yet refined and precise, with sweet fruit, great tannins, outstanding balance and very good length. Once again, a Duhart that impresses with finesse and precision.

    Decanter

Fragrant blackcurrants and dried herbs on the nose. Really succulent and grippy straight away, immediately so charming and soft, almost creamy with a touch of powdery tannins – but such depth and concentration of fruit – ripe but still cool, you get flesh but freshness too. Such great construction – nothing over the top. There’s fleshy tannins, round mouthfeel but such elegance and refinement with the vein of bright, tangy, driving acidity that just carries the overall expression. So long. Brilliant. 13% press wine.

Cigar wrappers, black currants, with tobacco leaf, licorice, and mint aromatics pop in the nose. The medium-bodied palate is lively, fresh, juicy, and most importantly pure. The fruits are soft, elegant, and refined from start to finish, where you enjoy is wealth of cassis, chocolate, and gentle touch of mint. Give it just a year, or two in the bottle, and this is going to be even better. The wine is a blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 27% Merlot. 12.5% ABV. Harvesting took place September 4 - September 20. Drink from 2029-2050. 93-95 Pts

Fragrant and floral on the opening, with chalky tannins and a gorgeous lift through the palate, showing crayon, raspberry, cassis and cherry pit. There is a delicacy and finesse evident in this Duhart, very pretty, with a less powerful structure than the 2022 vintage. 3.77ph. 27hl/h yields. Rain in this part of Pauillac saw 80mm over Easter then nothing until 25mm on June 22, and 30mm end of July, so two very important moments to counter the heatwave. Then temperatures cooled until August 11-15 before spikes of real heat, 40+C, until the summer broke at the end of August with 55mm of rain, then another 60mm up until the harvest. Harvest started September 2, same as in 2022.

Right from the start, Cabernet Sauvignon takes the lead… with enthusiasm and intensity, expressed through notes of eucalyptus, raspberries and liquorice. It clearly seems delighted to be here, so positive are the signals! On the palate, the wine stands out for its juicy, linear character. It is powerful—rather, sculpted—with fleshy tannins, but not too much, perfectly matched to a sharp acidity, though not excessive either! Everything is consistent, with an obvious focus on harmony, without erasing the distinctive Pauillac character. A Duhart-Milon with no fear, owning its style with the confidence of great wines. Hats off to the teams who stayed attentive and helped achieve this very convincing result. A great wine in the making.

Beautiful deep, intense red with purplish highlights. Intense nose with ripe, raspberry-like fruit. Subtle on the palate, with an airy texture, a melting body and a graceful flow, full of flavor and a very seductive overall hedonistic character. An irresistible whole. Blend: 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot. Alcohol: 12.7% - pH: 3.7. 13% press wine. Harvest from September 4 to 22.

    Description

The balance and structure of a great Pauillac wine

    The estate

Located in the heart of the Pauillac appellation, Château Duhart-Milon fully embodies the spirit of this exceptional terroir. Classified as a 4th Growth in the prestigious 1855 Classification, the estate traces its origins back to the 18th century, when the Lafite family set out to cover Pauillac with vines, lastingly shaping the wine-growing landscape of the region.

    The vineyard

Château Duhart-Milon comes from a 76-hectare vineyard located in Pauillac, to the west of Château Lafite-Rothschild. The vines thrive on soils of fine gravel and aeolian sands, resting on a Tertiary limestone subsoil, providing ideal conditions for the ripening of the grapes.

    The blend

Château Duhart-Milon 2025 is the result of a blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (73%), complemented by Merlot (27%).
