    Description

The refinement and structure of a Pauillac wine

    The estate

Recognized as a Fifth Classified Growth in the 1855 classification, Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste spans 90 hectares, including 55 hectares of vines located in Pauillac, in the Bordeaux Médoc. The estate was acquired in 1978 by Jean-Eugène Borie and is now managed by François-Xavier Borie, assisted since 2010 by his daughter Émeline Borie. Established on deep gravel rises, it benefits from a renowned terroir, mentioned as far back as the Middle Ages. Based in the Médoc since 1886, the Borie family has made this property a leading name in the Pauillac appellation.

    The vineyard

In a single block, this Pauillac vineyard covers 55 hectares on deep gravel soils, forming gently rolling terrain. The vines average 38 years of age. The estate favors mechanical soil cultivation through ploughing and practices sustainable viticulture.

    Grape varieties

Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
