    Vinum

On the nose, perfumed with a hint of cola and ripe raspberries; creamy attack, light to medium body, the tannins are somewhat overly dominant relative to the fruit; short, red-fruited finish.

Creamy, red pit fruits, strawberries, espresso, mocha, licorice, and smoky nuances deliver their essence effortlessly. Medium-bodied, soft, and supple, this will be just great with a year or two of age. Drink from 2027-2038. 90-92 pts

    Decanter

Deep ruby in the glass, this wine impresses with juicy cassis, dark plum, and citrus zest. The palate is concentrated and fresh, with polished power and a touch of austerity that promises good evolution. A finely constructed classic wine with depth and vibrancy. 5% of Petit Verdot completes the blend.

An old school estate in an old school year, deep ruby colour, good depth through the palate, and the aromatics are a little leafy but with concentration, tannic structure, and you can imagine that it will soften and elongate over ageing. One to watch. Harvest from September 5, Henri Duboscq is still very much in charge, even though his son Bruno does most of the day to day work.

Dark, intense, purplish colour. Very aromatic, pure nose with ripe fruit. On the palate, a wonderfully delicate tactile feel, with a gentle, supple texture that develops into a fragrant, thoroughly enjoyable expression. Normal length. Blend: 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot. Alcohol: 13% - pH: 3.55 - IPT: 74. Yield: 19 hl/ha.
